The Bible describes 'worship' as much more than just a religious service or a sing-a-long. It is not a 'fill-in' time while people are arriving to the meeting. Interestingly, it is a heartfelt response of the wonder of God's love, power and grace in our lives. It is a heartfelt adoring of the Almighty One…for who He is and what He has done.
At Calvary Chapel of the Canyons, worship is a large part of what we are all about. Revelation 4:11 states that He created us to worship Him…for His pleasure. We want to please the Lord with our lives, and exalt His name with Spirit-filled praise and worship. We believe that worship goes hand in hand with the teaching of God's Word. Worship is the fruit of the love, and the gratitude that we have for our Lord. When we realize how much He loves us, our hearts can't help but burst into joyous praise and worship. We long to draw near to kiss Him in song. As we lift our hands to Him, our hearts are also lifted into the presence of God. Therein is the reason for our joy. Psalm 33:1 says, 'Let the Godly sing with joy to the Lord, for it is fitting to praise Him.
'Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Amen.' Psalm 150
