Introduction

Making Disciples is designed to bring Christ-like maturity in your life by assisting you to spiritually advance and enter into the full blessings of the Lord, especially Part 3 – Maturing Series. Unfortunately, far too many believers are in an arrested state of spiritual development. They never grow up into spiritual maturity. They seem to get stuck in the same ol’ thing, and never progress in their relationship with Christ. They are content with just “attending Church” and come short of experiencing the reality of all that God has planned for each of us.

The dynamic of spiritual growth takes place most profoundly through the study of God’s Word. Real Christian maturity takes place when a person devotes themselves to the study of the scriptures. There is a transformation that can only take place through the daily reading, understanding, and applying God’s Word to our lives, month after month, year after year. Making Disciples format is designed in such a way to not only get you into God’s Word but get God’s Word into you.

Thousands of people around the world have completed the 3 part series of Making Disciples. As a result of immersing oneself into the scriptures in this interactive way many have matured in the Lord to take the next step to lead their own Making Disciples group in order to carry on the Great Commission that our Lord gave us to “Make Disciples of all nations”. The Word of God is like a seed, and when planted into willing and obedient hearts and minds it will produce results – it must! It can only produce good results – as God promised in Isaiah 55:10-11:

"For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, but water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”

So you can see that God’s Word will not return empty. It will accomplish God’s purposes in your life. It will not reform you, but will transform you!
