Return to God

Once we commit our lives to Christ we soon realize that the Christian life is not a playground, in fact, we learn quickly it’s a battleground. If we’re not diligent to keep close to our Lord we’ll find ourselves in a losing battle.

Jeremiah 7:24-25 states, “…My people went backward and not forward.”

God states in Hebrews 10:38, “But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”

Have you lost your way spiritually? Have you started out following the Lord but somehow got off track? Do you need a second chance in life? Well, you are not alone. There have been famous people in the bible that also slid back from their relationship with God. There was the Prodigal Son in Luke 15, then there was Jonah, and then of course Peter. Yet in all these lives we see the Lord bringing them back to Himself and teaching them great lessons of faith.

How could a person start off so well with their relationship with the Lord and then slide back away from God? Well, in the life of Peter we see how it can happen. Let’s look and see if we can find our way back:
